a. The loyalty card scheme, hereafter known as ‘the Scheme’, rewards members with redeemable points when they make qualifying purchases at Berwick Garden Centre, Dunbar Garden Centre, and Plantsplus Garden Centre.

b. These terms and conditions, hereafter know as ‘the Conditions,’ set out the terms on which you can join the scheme, earn points and convert these points into reward vouchers to spend at Berwick-Upon-Tweed Garden Centre Ltd. These are also the terms relating to data protection.

c. If you join the scheme or use a reward card, you automatically accept these conditions.

2. Joining the Scheme and using your Card

f. You may terminate your card at any time in which case all points on the card and vouchers issued shall be lost.

g. You are responsible for the security of your card. If you believe an unauthorised person has compromised the security of the card by theft or the theft of personal information relating to it, you should notify us immediately. Lost, damaged or stolen cards can be replaced by visiting us. The scheme is not responsible for any unauthorised use of the card or any lost or stolen vouchers.

h. Any Card issued is personal to the person whose personal details were submitted with their registration. A card and any points on it are non-transferable, and can only be used by the registered cardholder.

How do I sign up?

If you would like to download our app and sign up please follow the buttons above. If you would rather/don’t have access to use our app, please ask one of the team members in store who will happily sign you up with a physical card.

Where and what can I spend my points on?

You can spend your points in any of our three garden centres: Berwick, Dunbar and Plantsplus, regardless of where you have earnt your points. You will be able to spend your points in both the garden centre side and the restaurant. There are some departments you are unable to spend your points on, for example – alcohol, gift vouchers, fuel.

What will I earn points on?

You will earn points on all of your purchases, excluding anything bought within the restaurants and alcohol.

Can I use both my card and my app?

You can use both your app and your physical card to earn points, both will be linked to the same account.

By having our app, you will be able to see: how many points you have on your account, what vouchers you have to redeem and receipts for past transactions.

If you prefer to only use your physical loyalty card, you will still be able to redeem the offers advertised in store and a team member at the tills will be able to let you know how many points your have on your account.

How do I check how many points I have?

Your points will be displayed on the home screen of your app. If you can’t download our app but have signed up in store through a physical card you will be able to check your points at the till point.

What if I already have a physical loyalty card?

If you already have a card, please download our app and sign up using the long number on your physical card. The app will direct you through the process.

If you encounter an error, it is possible your email address isn’t attached to your account. Please email marketing@berwickgardencentre.co.uk with your updated details and description of your error.

What will happen to my old points?

Not to worry, all of your old points will be transferred across to your app so you won’t miss out on any points. If you create a new account in error, please contact marketing@berwickgardencentre.co.uk to merge your accounts.

Will I still receive my cheque voucher?

As mentioned above, we will no longer be posting out vouchers. This includes your cheque voucher. Instead you will be able to choose when you spend your points, giving you much more freedom. It is up to you if you save or spend your points and you chose when to redeem them.

Will I still receive my vouchers in the post?

Unfortunately not. Like most businesses we are joining the digital age and posting vouchers was a huge costWe encourage everyone who can to download our app, as this will be the way we stay in contact with you to let you know what offers we have going on in our garden centres.

What if I don’t have an email address?

If you don’t have an email address, unfortunately you won’t be able to download our app. You will however still be able to sign up to our rewards scheme in store and receive a physical card in store.

You will still be able to take advantage of our loyalty offers in store and earn points each time your loyalty card is swipes. However, you won’t receive communication about what offers there are to spend – but these are advertised in all of our stores.
