Job Overview
We are a busy garden centre restaurant serving tasty homestyle food and take pride in the fact that we prepare all of our menu and baking on site using local produce where possible. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our Front of House team at Dunbar Garden Centre Restaurant. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensuring their experience is enjoyable from the moment they arrive. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Duties

• Help create a welcoming atmosphere for customers on arrival
• Take food and drink orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen staff promptly.
• Serve food and prepare beverages in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of presentation.
• Handle payments and process transactions accurately, ensuring all financial procedures are followed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
• Clear tables and operate dish washing area
• Assist with any guest inquiries or concerns, resolving issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills and a friendly personality.
• Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Previous experience in a customer service role is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with a collaborative spirit and willingness to support colleagues.
• Basic knowledge of food safety regulations is preferred but can be trained on the job.
