Job Summary
Join the festive spirit as an Elf at Santa’s Grotto! This enchanting role involves engaging with children and families, creating a magical experience during the festive season. As an Elf, you will embody the joy of Christmas, assisting Santa and ensuring that every visitor leaves with a smile. Your enthusiasm and creativity will help bring the wonder of the season to life.
This is a temporary seasonal position, working 12 hours per week across Saturday and Sunday (also including Monday 22nd & Tuesday 23rd December). All shifts will be in the day, and breaks will be given. The grotto will run each weekend in December. With the first session being on 6th November and the last one the 23rd December.
Responsibilities
- Interact warmly with children and families, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist Santa in greeting guests and facilitating their visits.
- Perform entertaining activities such as dancing and singing to engage visitors.
- Lead storytelling sessions, teaching children about the magic of Christmas.
- Maintain a cheerful and festive environment throughout the grotto.
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the grotto area.
- Handle any inquiries from guests with excellent communication skills.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with visitors of all ages.
- Experience in public speaking or teaching is highly desirable.
- A passion for dancing or performing is a plus, as you will be part of interactive activities.
- Ability to work well in a team and contribute to a positive atmosphere.
- Must be enthusiastic, reliable, and able to embody the spirit of Christmas throughout your interactions.
Full elf costume will be provided.
We will pay for the successful applicant to be DBS checked.

Pay: Up to £12.76 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 12 per week
